'Neon' Peony Roots, 3/5 eye
We really love this variety, and so do our customers... Some years back they were so popular, that we went down to literally just one plant left on the farm. It's taken awhile to build back stock, and still this one is in very limited supply.
'Neon' is a bright magenta Japanese form peony. The densely packed center staminodes are tipped in brilliant glistening gold. This is the loudest, boldest peony out in the fields on our farm! The Japanese (anemone) form peony are known to have the most striking color contrasts, and this variety is an excellent example of that.
A mid season bloom, that is fragrant, strong and tall.
We love this variety because it is so exceptionally eye catching. 'Neon' is also a dependable, vigorous producer.
