The Mackinac Grand - Large, 3/5 eye roots
'The Mackinac Grand' is a very striking, ruffled, brilliant orange red hybrid peony. There are three or four rows of guard petals, all ruffled and very showy. Bloom time is early in the season, and this makes a great choice for farmer's market growers. Colorful, fragrant blooms can be relied on to sell bouquets, at a time in the season when most customers traditional peonies at home have yet to bloom. Cut blooms can be cut tight for cold storage. Very fertile as a pod and pollen parent.
For gardeners, this a a choice variety for it's super bright early season color, matched with strong upright stems. A pollenator magnet!
