'Command Performance' is a modern, hybrid, bomb type peony, with a staggering amount of inner petals. The cardinal red blooms open to a very large flower.
This variety has attracted much attention at the national exhibitions, and was American Peony Society Grand Champion in 1998. When in flower, this variety dominates the landscape. The buds are massive, and the striking bright red flowers will grow up to nine inches diameter. They are very vigorous with strong stems.
